Meditation in the Workplace

The benefits of meditation on both our mental and physical health have long been discussed over the years but recent studies are taking a look at meditation in the context of the workplace. Boston University as well as Stanford University School of Medicine performed studies that show links between meditation and positive benefits such as lowered stress levels and a lower risk of anxiety and depression.

How the benefits of meditation can be leveraged in a workplace environment?

A daily practice of meditation can help boost positivity and decrease stress throughout the day.  With a better attitude and approach to work, individuals can excel in their respective fields.

Furthermore, mindful meditation can help ground you in a hectic and dynamic work environment. With the many pressures of work, at times we can feel overwhelmed and cannot properly focus on the task at hand.  Meditation, through breathing exercises, mindfulness journals, or other practices of being present and calm can help to focus on your mind and therefore improve your performance.
