A note from the founder of
the SF Neurofeedback Center:
When I was in college my roommate was an ex-Division 1 Lacrosse player. He'd suffered so many concussions from this sport that in the middle of his sophomore year he was unable to read. Hundreds of thousands of dollars had been spent on prepping him to get to an Ivy League University and he was unable to read. Doctors made him take two years off from school. Get better? They told him it was if, not when. After visiting a dozen neurologists, a doctor finally told him that our understanding of brain trauma was rudimentary at best. Doctors don't really understand brain injuries, and they definitely don't know how to fix them.
When I met my friend it was 2.5 years after he was forced to drop out of school. He had more than fully recovered. He had mastered French, Spanish, and some Chinese in his time off, and he was reading a book per day in Tim Ferriss' "book a day challenge." While his head was still fragile, he was "smarter" than before. He had tried everything, seen every doctor, and only three things were beneficial in helping brain recovery: craniosacral massage, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and something called neurofeedback.
When I suffered a concussion years later, I didn't think I would need help. But a month after the concussion I found myself forgetting words, speaking in slow motion, and on the verge of losing my job because I couldn't focus on details.
I decided to rent a neurofeedback machine for a month. Everything changed. By day 15 I felt sharp enough to match where I had been pre-concussion. By the end of the month all sorts of odd things were happening. I was making new friends, I was closing deals, and I felt like I was on a spiritual high.
I would love to share my experience and success with you.
