Staying Positive While Stuck at Home

During these uncertain times, governments have been urging their citizens to stay home and avoid social interaction.  Especially in busy cities like New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, social distancing is a critical aspect of the plan to “flatten the curve” and save lives.

As the summer progresses, many individuals are stuck at home with social interaction limited to online video chats and gyms yet to reopen.  Personal connections and physical exercise have been proven to play key roles in mental health, but these activities have been extremely limited during the pandemic.

Responding to these unprecedented times requires a shift in mindset and adaptability.  When certain outlets for stress or opportunities for positive interactions are limited, we must shift our attitudes away from what we are limited by and rather towards seeking what is available to us.  This can include learning new skills such as cooking or sewing, participating in virtual exercise classes, or working on mindfulness and mental health.  If we broaden our perspective and approach the situation with a creative mindset we will see numerous examples of how individuals are reacting with positivity and creativity.

One such source of positivity and focus on self-improvement is through the use of neurofeedback.  Neurofeedback encourages mindfulness and helps individuals achieve their best selves.  This quarantine has proved extremely challenging for many and maintaining a positive mindset is critical towards persevering through this difficult time.  Neurofeedback SF offers individuals this opportunity to employ neurofeedback techniques to improve mental health and even combat anxiety and depression through heavily researched and tested neurofeedback machines.

Now more than ever, it is our duty to ourselves to prioritize both our physical and mental health and approach the coming months with positive mindsets and creative approaches.
