Concussion Recovery Strategies: Part III, The Healing Trinity (Three Therapies We Love)

Neurofeedback therapy

The posts on this blog are based on my personal experience and are not medical advice.

As I try to state in all of my posts, I'm not a doctor and I can't give medical advice. I'm just merely writing as someone who has experienced neurofeedback and a head injury (and I also own a neurofeedback company...). I'm also sharing wisdom that I've gained from speaking to experts and people who have battled far more serious head injuries than mine.

There are three therapies that come up over and over again as successful in helping people recover from head trauma.

1) Neurofeedback. It's gentle, it's straightforward, and you can do it by yourself at home. I'll dedicate the next post to why it's become so popular. In San Francisco it seems like every other person now knows what neurofeedback is. Exciting times.

2) Craniosacral massage (aka craniosacral therapy). Everyone will benefit from a few sessions. Subtle movements to the scalp and sacrum make large impacts on health. More on this in Part IV.

3) Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The most intense of the three, but reportedly the most powerful. I'll discuss more in Part V.

Does anyone feel strongly to something else I should add to this list?
